Join the OACAO for an informative Capacity Building Webinar as we explore Group Singing and its Impacts on Social and Physical Health.
SingWell brings together world-leading researchers examining the benefits of group singing, alongside partners across Canada with a role to play in activating them.
Their research is deepening scientific understanding of the specific factors that make group singing impactful for different populations, with a special focus on people living with communication challenges. Singwell is committed to sharing knowledge and resources to inspire and equip professionals, volunteers, policymakers and the public to participate in and help grow the practice of group singing in ways that intentionally promote wellbeing.

Presenter: Dr. Arla Good
Dr Good is a research associate at Toronto Metropolitan University. She is the co-director and chief researcher of The SingWell Project, an international research project exploring group singing as one potential strategy to address psychosocial well-being, communication, and health issues in older adulthood. She holds a Ph. D. in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University. Much of her work over the last decade has sought to identify and optimise singing-based interventions that can contribute to psychological and social wellbeing in a variety of different populations.
