Understanding Mental Health and Well-being in Later Life
Presenters: Rebecca Phillips Konigs and Kristin Oakley, from the Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)
CAMH will provide an introduction to mental health and addictions, factors that impact our mental health, and factors that keep us well. They will also discuss their upcoming workshop series called Understanding Mental Health and Wellbeing in Later Life: A Workshop Series, and talk about how you can get involved with the series in early 2020.
After the workshop you will be able to:
- Explain the differences between mental health and mental illness, as well as define addiction.
- Describe factors that can impact the mental health of older adults.
- Identify ways you can keep well.
