    Jeremy Bertrand is a Senior Program Advisory Specialist in the Ontario Ministry of Finance. Jeremy has been helping Ontarians boost their tax literacy for nearly 25 years. He has a passion for public education and has delivered hundreds of ministry seminars, always with his trademark humour and enthusiasm.

    Nina Cabral-Bouchard is a Program Advisory Specialist for the Ontario Ministry of Finance and has worked for the provincial government since 1999. Specializing in outreach and education, Nina brings energy and awareness to every topic that she delivers from tax credits and benefits to tax liability.

    Presenter: Benjamin Miller, Policy Advisor, Ontario Nonprofit Network

    Ontario's Not-for-profit Corporations Act (ONCA) was proclaimed on October 19th, 2021. Nonprofits have until October 18th, 2024 to update their bylaws and letters patent to comply with ONCA. This webinar will provide you an open forum to ask questions that may have come up for you during the ONCA transition process and get legal information (though not advice). You will have the opportunity to hear from other participants on the questions they are facing as well common questions that arise.

    Benjamin Miller (he/him) is a staff lawyer on the Nonprofit Law Ontario project of Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO) where he focuses on the legal needs of nonprofits and charities. Over the past 5 years at CLEO, Benjamin has answered hundreds of nonprofit law questions and developed an online interactive bylaw builder for the ONCA. Benjamin also works at the Ontario Nonprofit Network and has worked at the Canada Revenue Agency in the past. Benjamin holds a JD and MPP from the University of Toronto and an MA in political theory from the University of Ottawa.

    • The testing requirements for those 80 years and older
    • The collision reporting process for those 70 years and older optional
    • Signs of aging or medications as it relates to driving ability
    • Driving tips and some more recent rules of the road.

    Tom Marinis has been the Regional Strategic Coordinator with the Public Outreach and Education office since it’s creation in 1995. Based in Thunder Bay, Tom represents Northwest region which covers the area from Marathon to the Manitoba border.

    Tom has a passion for all things road safety but loves to focus on senior driver safety, commercial motor vehicles, recreational vehicle safety and winter driving.
